Your Dreams Are Waiting For You
|Dreams and goals are like seeds. They lie dormant – full of potential – until we plant them.|
And then you have to water your dreams, fertilize them, weed out the fear and doubt that so easily smother them.
Dreams don’t grow without our love, our courage, our commitment.
But why is it so damn hard to say yes to our dreams?
Because it means taking big leaps into the unknown (and it’s safer to sit on the couch and watch Netflix). It means believing hard, even when you’re overwhelmed with doubt. It means potential failure, embarrassment, rejection.Letting people down, or pissing them off. And taking steps even when you don’t know how.
So most dreams end up in the graveyard, buried under mounds of regret.
It’s a good thing the important ones are persistent.
They whisper to us in the night, call our names, nudge us over and over and over.
And sometimes – thank goodness sometimes – we’re finally willing to say yes.
Even when people tell us we’re crazy or selfish or too big for our britches.Even when our own brain holler a million excuses for why it’s a horrible idea and beg you to stay small (and safe).
Because “the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” (Anais Nin, Favorite. Quote. Ever.)
And because you don’t want to get to the end of your days feeling mournful and moaning “If only I’d tried…”
Tell me about your dream.
The one that keeps calling you.The one that doesn’t forget. The one that’s willing to go all in because it at least wants a chance.
Because your dreams matter.
Maybe it’s an organized desk, a marriage that delights you, or a trip to France. Maybe it’s a job you love or ending world hunger. Maybe it’s regular meals that nourish you or a baby in your arms.

Plant that dream seed. It all starts there.
